So as always, he blessed him with the power of immortality with the condition that, \u201cHe should strive in the best interest of the people, otherwise he may be permanently prosecuted for violating the condition.\u201d<\/p><p>With the flow of time, Tripurasura forgot the situation in which he was reared, and eventually started troubling the people as well as other gods. Chaos spread there and for its solution all the gods approached Lord Shiva.<\/p><p>Thus to prosecute Tripurasura, Lord Shiva prayed to Goddess Parvati (Kamalja Mata) to help him accomplish this task. Accordingly, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati assumed a new form, known as \u201cArdha-Narya-Nateswara\u201d and killed Tripurasura on Kartik Purnima, known as \u201cTripuraari Purnima\u201d.<\/p><p>After the death of Tripurasura his wives (Dakini and Shakini) went to Lord Shiva with the question of their existence without Tripurasura. Thus Lord Shiva blessed both of them with the power of immortality, which he had given to Tripurasura.
